Amber regularly advises and presents on effective climate change communications across Alberta. She has worked in the area since 2009, leading initiatives locally and provincially, and completing original psycho-social research on the topic. 
 

​Highlights include:
  • Regional project lead of Alberta Narratives Project, part of Climate Outreach's Global Narrative Project.
  • Building climate communications capacity across the province as a leader with Alberta Ecotrust’s Climate Connect Network. 
  • Leading a provincial tour with Climate Outreach co-founder George Marshall to deliver workshops and events to build skills and capacity with regional leaders and climate outreach professionals to engage hard-to-reach and new audiences.
  • Leading research and communications planning for City of Calgary Climate Resilience plan.
  • Original research on the psycho-social dimensions of how Calgarians engaged with the 2013 flood as a climate change event. 
  • Supporting The Mayors delegation to the Copenhagen Climate Change Summit and the signing of The Calgary Climate Change Accord.
  • Leading communications strategy to support the City of Calgary’s GHG plan (2009) and Climate Resilience Plan (2017).
